First of all, she’s not targeting people who have thigh gaps. She’s pointing out how stupid it is that people think you have to have a thigh gap to be healthy and attractive, when really having a thigh gap depends on how your body is structured. That’s just genetics, it has very little to do with being a healthy weight.
Even people who weigh more than what is healthy for their body (Note that I’m not saying overweight because there is no universal weight for every person because everyone is infinitely different) can have thigh gaps. It primarily depends on how wide your hips are. Women who just gave birth are usually above their healthy weight because they had to eat more and their bodies stored more energy to support the other body inside of them. Even though it was to have a healthy pregnancy, they often aren’t at their body’s ideal weight, but they still might have a thigh gap because being pregnant and giving birth make the hips much wider than they were before. Even if they weigh more after their pregnancy, it’s not abnormal for them to have a thigh gap after giving birth but not having one before.
Furthermore, having and not having a thigh gap does not determine how attractive you are. It’s simply how your body is built, as I’ve reiterated so many times. If you have a thigh gap, you’re probably beautiful like that. If you don’t have a thigh gap, you’re probably beautiful like that. Even if you’re not beautiful by society’s standards whether you have a thigh gap or not, who the fuck cares? Attraction is boundlessly subjective and there are always people out there who will find you attractive. Thigh gaps do not always mean you are skinny or healthy, it is just genetics.
Furthermore, what does she being white have to do with anything? I can’t figure that out, even if I try to look at it from your terribly misconstrued point of view. This is a joke about the way people glorify having thigh gaps as if it’s what they need to be beautiful, when in reality having a thigh gap means nothing. Being white is irrelevant to having a thigh gap. The only way I can think of that being white matters in this is because many black females have naturally wide hips so you assumed she’s targeting black people, but I really doubt you could be that intuitive and that you even knew that thigh gaps only depend on your body type.
Not only is it horribly offensive to ever tell someone to kill themselves, you told her to jump off a bridge — which don’t deny you meant that as a way to kill herself — just because you think you’re such a victim to some sort of torment because you have a naturally thin body. It is never okay to tell someone to kill themselves and I really can’t believe you would do that to strengthen your argument.
